Spring pictures will be taken on March 30th, we will also be taking our traditional "School Wide" picture that day! Informational packets are available in the office and will also be sent home with the elementary students in their Pee-Chees.

K-12 Parent Conferences will be held on March 29-30th, both days will be minimum days, dismissing at 11:45 a.m. Elementary teachers will be in contact with parent/guardians to set up conference dates and times.

Hello Smith Valley Families,

The Lyon County School District recently sent out an email to every parent in the district that does not have an active Infinite Campus Account. Please check your email for this very important information. It is mandated that all students must have their demographics updated each year through the online registration system. In addition to the demographics updated or submitted with no changes all students and parents must e-sign the "beginning of the year" forms. Individual phone calls to families who have not gone onto their IC account and verified or updated their student's will begin after November 1st. Hello Bulldog families,

In an effort to better serve our students the staff at SVS will be implementing a new missing assignment opportunity process starting on Tuesday, January 18th and continuing through semester 2.

Students will continue to have the opportunity to hand in missing, late, etc. assignments for two weeks (14 days) after the due date recorded in Infinite Campus.

Once 14 days have elapsed students will still have the opportunity to turn in missing assignments however in order to do so a late work request form will need to be completed and approved/signed by both the parent/guardian and teacher. Additional stipulations may also be required by the teacher, including completing the missing assignment in class, etc.

The purpose of this new process is to help ensure that students participate in learning opportunities when they are most valuable and relevant as opposed to weeks or months later when the learning experience no longer has the same relevance.

Please log onto the NFHS website and create an account if you haven't already done so. You will then select Smith Valley High School to watch the event live. There is also an On Demand feature if you are unable to watch the event live. Our sports schedules can be located under the Athletic/Activities tab on our website.
